Every two years Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is host to the Australasian helicopter industry.
First held in 2014, the biennial Rotortech Conference and Exposition is the premier industry event for the helicopter community in Australia, New Zealand and the region.
Hosted by the Australian Helicopter Industry Association, ROTORTECH 2018 will be conducted by Industry Defence and Security Australia Limited which is part of a not-for-profit group headed by Aerospace Maritime and Defence Foundation of Australia Limited. Aerospace Australia Limited is also a part of the Aerospace Maritime and Defence Foundation of Australia Limited group and is the organiser of the biennial Australian International Airshow and Aerospace and Defence Exposition at Avalon Airport near Melbourne.
ROTORTECH 2018 will bring together leading players from all sectors of the rotary-wing industry - operators, helicopter and equipment manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, pilots and engineers.
The Australian Helicopter Industry Association has been developed to promote the Australian helicopter industry by working with governments, regulatory authorities and the community to ensure it is a safe, efficient and viable industry readily able to adapt to the continuing needs of the our customers by the pursuit of global industry best practice.
The Aerospace Maritime and Defence Foundation of Australia Limited (AMDFA) has joined forces with the Australian Helicopter Industry Association (AHIA) to promote the Australian helicopter industry.
Under the terms of an agreement just signed between them, the Foundation’s conference and exhibition arm, Industry Defence and Security Australia Limited, will become a major long-term corporate sponsor of the Association and will conduct the biennial Rotortech Conference and Exhibition. AMDFA, together with its management team headed by CEO Ian Honnery, has been a long-time supporter of AHIA, and was the Founding Corporate Sponsor of the Association when it was formed in 2012.
